Nathan's surgery went very well. Both of his tubes were out and he had fluid behind both of his ears, so I am sure he has been miserable. His adenoids were abnormally large so it was a good thing to have them taken out. He did well, but he woke up from the anesthesia not so happy. He was screaming and throwing his body until we were able to give him a bottle of apple juice. He then calmed right down. He was so out of it and would fall asleep with the bottle in his mouth. I took it out once and learned my lesson. He screamed until I was able to calm him down enough that he took it again. We had to wait a few hours until he drank enough juice and kept it down and his stats were good. He was ready to go when we were finally able to leave. On the way home he ate some orange jello and a cookie and had a drink of sprite. When we got home he wanted his bed, he kept saying nigh, night. He loves his bed. He slept for a long time and he really needed it. He was pretty grumpy when he woke up it had been way past time for more tylenol. He was a lot happier after we gave him Tylenol and it kicked in. He slept great last night. Did not wake up once and woke up very happy. He has been playing all day. Yeah!! I hope this lasts and he doesn't get anymore ear infections.
